NEW BRIDE WANTS DIVORCE JUST TWO WEEKS AFTER WEDDING

File photo used only for illustrative purpose

A 28-year-old Egyptian newlywed woman, is seeking a divorce after only two weeks of marriage because her husband does all of the household chores, Egyptian news website Masrawy, reports.

Her husband, 31, also runs a successful clothing store, where he employs several staff members and is therefore able to spend most of his time at home. Samar claims that he spends all of that time cleaning and rearranging furniture and that she can no longer handle living with him.

The woman, known only as Samar M., claims that her husband, Mohammad S., is acting like a housewife, and she has grown bored of him. Not only does he do all of the chores, but he refuses to allow her to help at all. She eventually confronted her husband but said that he responded by saying that if she wanted to live in his house, she had to follow his rules.

“We’ve been married for just two weeks, I’ve known and loved him for over 2 years but I hate living with him and can no longer handle his actions,” Samar told Masrawy.

“My husband is a housewife. He doesn’t let me touch anything in our house and does all the cooking, cleaning and general household chores. He controls everything in our house, and I have no say in anything, not even where he puts the TV set. Even though he owns his own business, he hired people to manage it, in order for him to stay at home, while I sit and watch,” the woman explained her decision to get a divorce.

When Samar told her mother-in-law about her husband’s actions, the woman was surprised, saying that Mohammad had never done chores when he lived at home with his parents.

“He is the ‘woman of the house’ and I’m hating my life with him. We’ve been only married for two weeks, and he is either cooking or doing the laundry because he knows how to sort the washable clothes by color. He then irons the clothes, sweeps, and arranges the food in the fridge,” Samar complained. “I sit down watching him all day while he moves stuff around looking very happy.”

Samar has filed a complaint in Family Court in New Cairo, saying, “My husband did not give me the freedom to handle my home affairs, I feel like a guest in a hotel.” She is seeking ‘khula’, a procedure through which a Muslim woman can divorce her husband by returning the dower (mahr) that she received to marry him.

The case is pending before the court.

FATHER KILLS 14 YEAR OLD SON FOR BEING A GAY.

A father has been arrested after he allegedly shot dead his son because he found out he was gay, police have said.
Giovanni Melton, from Henderson, Nevada, was gunned down by his father Wendell Melton after an argument on Thursday afternoon about how he is gay and has a boyfriend, police told KSNV.

“He hated the fact that his son was gay”, the 14-year-old’s former foster mom Sonia Jones told the station.
‘‘I’m sure that inside of his mind, he would rather have a dead son than a gay son.’’ Jones said that Wendell, 53, had previously pulled a gun on his son before when he caught him with his boyfriend.

Police arrived on the scene Thursday after receiving a report about a domestic disturbance at their apartment.
He has been charged with open murder, child abuse and prohibited person possessing a firearm. It isn’t clear if he will be charged with a hate crime.

BURUNDI PRESIDENT ORDERS UNMARRIED COUPLES TO WED BY END

Unmarried couples in the East African country of Burundi have until the end of the year to legalise their relationships through church or state registrations.
In May, President Pierre Nkurunziza signed a new law which the government says will help protect women and create a more moral society, but some disagree.
The government insists a legal document recognising a marriage helps protect women and their children, especially when it comes to issues such as inheritance.
However, others say the new marriage law infringes on people’s religious beliefs, customs and practices.

STRESS CAN SHUT DOWN YOUR POWER IF YOU LET IT.

Stress can shut down your power if you let it.  Do not allow people, bills, or pressures on the job to consume your focus, energy and joy for life. Uncontrolled stress can cause you to gain weight; change your personality and create problems in your relationships; turn your hair gray overnight; make you sick, and make it difficult for you to get out of bed.

Take time to become aware of the major stressors in your life and the ways you are dealing with them.  Recognize the price you are paying for not taking deliberate action with regard to your spiritual, social, emotional and physical well-being.   In the face of what may appear to be crippling circumstances, choose to live every part of your life.  Decide to be happy, actively engaged and live from the inside out. Create centered and grounding moments in your own life as part of your spiritual life.

Use what works – exercise, meditation, meaningful connections with others.  Volunteer your time to make a difference in the lives of others. You are more powerful than you are currently living.  Harness your power to live above the stress in your life.

Tinubu discloses cause of sons death.

Following controversies that had trailed his son, Jide’s death, the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has disclosed that the deceased died was as a result of cardiac arrest.

Tinubu’s clarification on his son’s death came barely 24 hours after departing Lagos with his wife, Oluremi, who is chairman, senate committee on Environment, for London to visit the family of the deceased.

The former governor, in a statement by his media aide, Tunde Rahman, on Friday, described his son’s death as a reminder. Except GOD, no human have knowledge of his last day on earth.
“My son was an highly intelligent person with a vibrant personality and a zest for life. He followed his own course and made his own way on his own terms. Those who knew him could not help but like him. Yet, he was taken away by cardiac arrest when it seemed he had so much life to still live.
“This is a reminder that we must live each day to its best as none of us knows when our last day shall be. Mortality comes upon us all. We have no choice in that but we do have a choice whether we shall be good or bad, just or unjust. Let us all strive toward the best in ourselves.
“As a father, I must spend time putting my arms around the family he has left behind. Jide lived for so long in London and there he has left behind a darling wife and three precious boys,” he added.

The national leader of the ruling party explained that he left with his wife to London to be with the family left behind by the deceased, saying, they need our support at this painful time.

“Please excuse our absence from Lagos for a while but it is essential that we are with them. Prayers are being offered and will continue to be offered for the repose of his soul. I have suffered a grave loss that no parent would like to bear.”
