FORMER SOUTH AFRICAN PRESIDENT JACOB ZUMA, 76 SET TO TAKE SEVENTH WIFE, 24-YEAR-OLD MOTHER OF HIS NEWBORN CHILD

A 24-year-old woman is set to become former president Jacob Zuma’s seventh wife.

Nonkanyiso Conco confirmed to the Times Live that she and Zuma are getting married.

“Yes‚ we are getting married‚ but that is all I can say. I need to consult before I give any interviews‚” she said.

Report states that the woman gave birth to a baby last week at the Busamed Hillcrest Private Hospital last Thursday – Zuma’s birthday.

Conco is a director of the Pietermaritzburg-based Nomkhubulwane Culture and Youth Development Organisation‚ aimed at protecting the cultural practices of Zulu maidens.

Conco reportedly resides in the plush Ballito Estate Hilltop‚ home to some of the city’s most well-heeled residents. She would be Zuma’s youngest bride‚ at 52 years his junior.

Zuma‚ who has always been a proponent of polygamy‚ is currently married to Gertrude Sizakele Khumalo‚ Thobeka Madiba-Zuma and Bongi Ngema-Zuma. He is divorced from Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and separated from Nompumelelo MaNtuli Zuma.

In total, Zuma has fathered 22 known children from at least 11 women.

Three independent sources confirmed that Zuma came to visit his baby under strict security on Thursday night.

“They had to clear the maternity ward for other patients. Hospital staff made it clear that this was strictly confidential,”

Ray Zuma, who is related to the former president, confirmed that Zuma was going to wed a woman named Nonkanyiso Conco.

When asked if Conco was the same woman who had given birth to a baby earlier this month, Ray Zuma responded by saying: “So?”

“I can’t see why you are interested. When he was still the president, you [the media] were terrorising him, and now you are all of a sudden interested in him.”

When asked about the details of the wedding, he said he was not privy to the details.

“No date has been set yet. Both families must come together to decide on the date. We are still in the pre-nuptial phases of the process.”

When visited the hospital earlier in the week, an employee confirmed that Zuma had visited the facility.

“Yes he was here last week. I saw him with his security. I do not know why he came through.”

But other sources confirmed the baby was Zuma’s. Hospital staff were briefed to keep it a closely guarded secret and only told “this is JZ’s child” and a “VIP delivery”.

Hillcrest Private Hospital management declined to comment saying they would not divulge details of any patient.

Winnie Madikizela Mandela was the former wife of South Africa’s first black president, Nelson Mandela.

The couple – famously pictured hand-in-hand as Mr Mandela walked free from prison after 27 years – were a symbol of the anti-apartheid struggle for nearly three decades.

However, in later years her reputation became tainted legally and politically.

Family spokesman Victor Dlamini said in a statement: “She died after a long illness, for which she had been in and out of hospital since the start of the year.

“She succumbed peacefully in the early hours of Monday afternoon surrounded by her family and loved ones.”

Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright  (legs swell).

When you lie down and the lower body (legs, etc.) is level with the kidneys, it is then that the kidneys remove the water because it is easier.

Buhari loses two relatives, atiku sympathies.

President Muhammadu Buhari has simultaneously lost two members from his extended family, Halima Dauda, and Ai’sha Mamman, who were reported to had died hours after one another.

Of the two deceased, Dauda, the president’s niece, was said to have been buried in Daura on Saturday morning, while the other person,  younger sister to his close associate and nephew, Mamman Daura.

The woman was reported to had died at about age of 56, and had 10 children, four of whom were male while other six, were female including president’s Personal Assistants, Mohammed Tunde.

The Buhari family had earlier on buried Ai’sha Mamman on Friday. She was the wife of the President’s older brother, Alhaji Mamman.

Receiving condolences on behalf of the family, Mamman an Emir, Umar Faruk, for the people of Daura Emirate,  thanked God for lives of the deceased and all the visitors for sharing the moment of grief with them.

However, the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, sympathised with  Buhari and Mamman family over the passing on of his sister in-law,Aisha .

Also, the former Vice President has expressed his condolences to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai over the demise of his father and World War II Veteran, Yusuf Buratai.

Through his twitter handle on Saturday, the former vice president expressed his condolences to Buhari and Lt. Gen. Buratai who had lost their loved ones.

“On behalf of the Abubakar family, I commiserate with Buhari over the passing on of his sister in-law, Aisha Mamman.

“May Allah grant her Aljannah Firdaus, and grant the Danbaffale Mamman family in Daura the fortitude to bear the loss. Ameen”

“Malam Yusuf Buratai, a World War II Veteran and father of COAS Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai will be remembered for his services to keep country and the world safe and united. May Allah grant him Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen”.

Breast cancer is far too common in this country compared to other parts of the world.
90% of women noticing a small lump in their breast or small armpit will prove to have a benign tumor rather than cancer.
But for the remaining 10percent who do have a malignancy, the sooner  that lump is detected the easier it will be to diagnose and treat.

For early detected breast cancers, the survival rate is good. For more advanced cancers the outlook is not so healthy medically.
It is for this reason that doctors still advise women to be 'breast aware' by gently examining their breasts every three months or so to check whether any changes have occurred.
90% of all lumps are discovered by women themselves rather than a doctor.

I certainly believe that this checking routine is important.
Special/regular Breast X-rays performed after the age of 35 can also be useful.

When examining your breasts,you should check  for the following:

1. Any changes in shape or size.

2. Any enlarged veins.

3. Any areas where the skin appears thicker than usual.

4. Any dimpling of the skin or resemblance to the pitting seen in orange Peel.

5. Any ulceration of the  overlying skin.

6. Any new in turning of the nipple.

7. Any discharge from the nipple.

8. Any swelling under the armpit.

9. Any swelling of the arm itself.
